First let me say that I have been playing on my Kindle tablet for a couple years now, since my computer self-destructed. Firefox is my default browser, but I stopped using it for freecell.net when i switched to the Kindle tablet because of wonky rendering. Often certain cards (random) don't show properly, and play becomes very confusing. As an example, sometimes the top card on a column will become completely invisible. I'll click on that column thinking I'm moving the card below the invisible one, but when I make the move it's the card that was until this moment invisible that moves. Because of this, frequently I make unintended moves which spoil the game..
So as a workaround I've been using Opera as my “freecell browser”, and have never had a problem before. Until the 24th, when something went wonky on the site. Initially, I thought the problem was at my end, and so among other things I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Opera. Since I did that, I have not been able to play freecell at all (on Opera). I get as far as the “Message of the Fortnight,” but then when I press “continue” I get an error message saying that either I am unconnected to the internet, or the NETcell server is down
I can still play on Firefox, but the rendering is, if anything, worse than ever.
Is anyone aware— have any solutions— for either of these problems, either the problematic rendering on Firefox or the connection issue on Opera?
Thank you.

We had a cert needed for secure HTTPS expire on the 24th and it took us about 8 hours to get the problem resolved. I have no idea how Opera handled that situation. There were no other changes. Try clearing cache. Or switch browsers again. I even used to play without issues on the built-in Amazon/Kindle browser which I think was called Silk.
