TitanicTony, what do you think your elo would be if you did not use the deck of cards and your losses were posted?
Maybe around the 1500 average player range?
Posting losses as well as wins would monumentally increase the size of these useless threads; but, other than that, I don't see how ELO would be at all affected.
I'm an "around the 1500 average player", though and thus may not know what I'm talking about.
After my post, I got to wondering why I even had a streak in 12x4. Then I remembered I rang those up when all games were rated 1500. Short lived, yet such a sweet era.
Maybe it should be reset back to 1500 for everybody. That would give TT and Ellie a chance to catch Hop.
For history's sake I should mention only the players started at 1500. The games were given estimated ratings right from the beginning. You still would have taken points anywhere you played for a while until your own rating normalized, so I get why you would remember it this way.
That's correct, it was this problem.
I also looked at 11x4 level 12 statistics as a sample to see the elo changes. There are only 9 plays at this level.
