AWESOME run, ForGotteNNapKin! After losing 4 of the first 6 (only 1 being winnable), and then a few middling draws, threw down a 20 spot to blow all comers away. Great win!!!
Tied for 19th all-time daily.

I KNEW it would happen, stinking just like this:
1a) There was a very good chance that 14 wouldn't be enough, but I just wanted to take a break.
1b) There was at least an equal chance it would be Hop that chased me down.
2) Further proof that Denny developed a sentient dealer, who knows, and *hates* it when you take a break. Sigh.
You mean like when the dealer gives you an easy deal right after a hard one?
Case in point.

No, not really; altho that sure stinks, too. One should expect a mixture of climate 5-13 in what is *called* climates 5 and 6 - altho we-know-who would beg (and demand) to differ. It's the very hard slider (probably a spitball in reality) after taking a break that's the worst. The phenomenon has been discussed hereon multiple times - and it really is "a thing". Those computer guys are sneaky nefarious.

"Further proof that Denny developed a sentient dealer, who knows, and *hates* it when you take a break. Sigh."
Yes but there are work arounds. I usually play couple of 8x4s until I feel that the dealer has entered a period (or a "wave") where some easy deals are likely to come. Check my playlog of yesterday. You'll see some 8x4s in between. And I have a feeling that it works (to a degree).
I agree with Hop. Riding the wave is the way to go. I also sometimes I find myself counting to three before I press play. That way if I get a bad deal, I chalk it off to bad timing. Nice win on both Saturday and the Wotw.
"I also sometimes I find myself counting to three before I press play."
This is interesting. I experimented with intantly pressing the "Play" (after dismissing "you won" popup) and it gave some "wave"s but I have come to the conclusion that others may not be doing it the way I did. Recently, I don't count but I wait a little (instead of pressing instantly).
"Nice win on both Saturday and the Wotw"
Thanks.
Actually, Hop, I already *had* looked at your play record and seen that - but of course wouldn't have known the full story. *Almost* sounds like the mysterious SirPape 'method'. š®šŖš±š¤£
And yes, congrats on topping a strong field yesterday. 10 players (no, not 11) hitting double figures is more than I would have guessed.
The standings look a bit different if unwinnables don't end the streak

I know this prob isnāt a thing but just in case anyone checks my first 5 game timesānot cheating or anything, but the āferalā young kitten/cat I found, Iāve now fully tamed and brought inside past weeks. I keep her separated from dogs because she spooks easy and theyād bark. I let her out w/us tonight while my senior dog is on couch, as I know my old gal wonāt hurt her and thought itād comfort the cat to know it. +My dogās asleep, so no bark. ..So.. no worries, right?
Nope. During every. single.game. thus far, (5) sheās either hopped on coffee table directly in front of my dogs face, on couch near her, or knocked something over nearby. A few times I managed to press save before getting up, but mostly was darting around like a lunatic. Sheās why Iāve barely played this week. Anywho, just put her back in room. No idea how Iāll manage a cat + 3 dogs, each w/ varying degrees of cat prejudice, but based on tonight, should be an interesting journey.
Sounds like it'll be quite the experience, but hopefully your doggos will warm to her in the end - I always love it when different types of animals get along with each other so good luck with that!
As for your game times, I doubt anyone would've raised any suspicion, especially as they were high percentage games anyway. But aside from that, looks like you've bagged some impressive wins later in your streak, and a very good target to set early doors!
That said...........Uberman is kindly ignoring the fact that "modern statistics" has shown that drawing 15 consecutive winnable 11x0's is "statistically impossible".......so sumpin' smells of dealer collusion -- or one or more of your critters has "cracked the code". We'll try to look the other way - or perhaps turn ours noses away, as the case may be.
Smelly/TN, I mostly clarified for you, lol. I donāt cheat tho. At anything. And doubt thereās any dealer collusion, ha. That said, game 16 was unwinnable, and I played more after but only got abt 5 each time before an unwinnable :(
Uber, yeah Iām hoping so! I like that too. My neighbors have dogs &cats that love each other and Iām jealous. She was so happy, comforted &confident when my dog didnāt bark, she strutted about /played til 5 am, (to my delight and dismay). Sheās exhausting but so young and trusts me fully, which is sweet. Cuddles every day now and loves me to nuzzle her. I know she wants a pal but she has feline leukemia, so Iāll have to figure it out. My old beagle gal may warm to friendship, idk. The other 2, I doubt.
One wonāt hurt her, but hates cats. The other wonāt hate her, but triggers easily and may hurt her, (cruel former āownersā- here she has no owner, just family). That one has her own room tho because sheās risk to others. Her triggers arenāt logical, can snap at dog for looking at her. Donāt worry tho, all are so spoiled &happy. Trigger dog prob most of all. When I took her in, for months wouldnāt close her eyes more than a few mins, she was so scared of ppl &noise. Now she sleeps like a rock, plays, and cuddles all day. š¤ Iām super protective of them all but her most prob, and now this little cat, too. Thereās something about seeing animals heal and learn to trust thatās just as healing to witness.
Smelly, played just now and made to 10 before UW. Are you sure itās so unlikely? I didnāt get to play as much as I wanted today, because I really like these and all zeroes and low cell variants. But I couldnāt gage how frequently unwinnables happen. This morn maybe Iād go 5-10 rounds and not make over 6 or 7. But with a few hours of play could someone reach 20 or 30?

You must adhere to those old-school statistics that allow for such runs. I'm surprised nobody called me out since I once had 19 (using the older statistical methods, of course). cellmate keeps those stats on one of his pages, and I'm sure Hop and others do, too. I don't, as I wouldn't want 'stale' math stinkin' up my computer. But.............I just checked, and near as I can tell...........climate 5s are essentially almost 82% winnable. Which if one takes to the 10th power, gives about a 13.7% chance of getting dealt 10 winnables in a row. For 15 winnables in a row, that's less than a 5% chance (I didn't adjust the math for the slightly easier/harder climate 6 games), i.e., "statistically impossible" in modern statistical parlance. Ergo, perhaps since you're a nice person who's a peach with animals, you get sent easier deals. Life's full of trade-offs, as you know, so it's fine. I'm **kinda** good with animals in that I allow them to rub up against me out in the field. But it slowly wears me down, ya know?
cellmate's page with those stats:
I also just looked in "The Valley", and the record is 27 by dade36, and he has 4 of the top 11, but he plays AAALLLLL the time, so........stats go out the window as number of plays approach infinity. The 49ers guy, who also plays a ton, is in there, too, so.................his plays are probably something like halfway to infinity. firenze's tied for 2nd highest, but he's been around so long it's a certainty he was using the more liberal older statistical ciphering.
Just for grins...........I just looked at your recent play, and if'n I'm seeing things correctly, your first 15 games you played were all winnable (obviously impossible, as established above!), and you won them all. Amazing. A *very* quick count shows you only got dealt 5 unwinnables? Whereas I got dealt something like 11-12 (again with a *very* quick count). So it's very clear that you "nice people" get better treatment. Ok, that's a little bit putrid, but I guess I can grasp that wafting aroma.
All that said........................CONGRATS!!
