Message:Pretty cool, roo - that first game sounds like a beast. It'd be interesting to know just how often getting two winnables in a row has happened in 8x0.
Extra props to you for sticking with that second game - often when I've just lost a winnable, I just assume I'm not going to get another one for a while and end up not being quite as focussed.

Message:If you look at my recent play - it was a few hours between deals. I lost the 8x0 after 14 minutes and it was 0/5. I then replayed it and the phone rang, so I saved it and wasn't able to get back to it straight away. I gave up on it after 0/11 and hit play and got lucky!

Message:In theory about one in fifty deals will be winnable. So it's a matter of plugging away and finding a likely candidate. Then play carefully.
I have taken between 2 and 500+ attempts to get my next win in 8x0. Usually I lose winnable games along the way, some stupidly and others no-one had a chance of getting first time.

Message:Welp, I salute you, roo.
Because I’m betting that on the odds I actually found a winnable one, I’d play carelessly assuming it’s non winnable.
And then I imagine my head would explode from fury or something, who knows. So I’m done trying for now.
V impressed you and Uber won a game!

Message:Uber's the man! With a winning percentage* of 1.40% he's come closest to proving the one in fifty theory is correct! Yes, he's managed to win two in a row, while others have been dealt the opportunity but blown it, me included.

Message:WHAT?!!
two in a row seems like some sort of miracle.
Lol, How geeky am I now that I play this game so much I’m SO shocked by that? I could prob watch aliens falling out of the sky, wake up to find my dog sipping wine and talking on the phone, have a long lost twin show up on my doorstep.. to any of this I’d prob just chalk it up to, huh, well isn’t life weird?
Yet winning TWO of these in a ROW? I can’t wrap my head around it! It seems so statistically improbable!
Don’t give up Roo! One day you’ll do it! : ) (Hopefully before the aliens and drunken dogs take over, because then it’d be rlly hard to focus) 😉

Message:psst everyone - don't reveal to Go that someone's actually done the equivalent of three in a row!

Message:No!
WHO?!
Who is the mad genius to conquer THREE of these?
Surely no mere mortal. And I’m guessing this site wasn’t around in Einstein’s days, so…I’m not sure I can believe this. Turings code breaking machine wasn’t around either but that’d be my next guess. Hmmm..
idk.
Stephen hawking? Did he play freecell?

Message:..Actually tho if I factor in the now clearly obvious existence of time travel to other galaxies, I could still go with Einstein. Or Turing…
Tesla was pretty crafty. And I bet he time traveled quite a bit now that I know that’s clearly a thing. On account of how someone once won three of these in a row.

Message:From Wikipedias page on cell theory:
“ Schleiden's theory of free cell formation through crystallization was refuted in the 1850s by Robert Remak, Rudolf Virchow, and Albert Kolliker.[4] In 1855, Rudolf Virchow added the third tenet to cell theory. In Latin, this tenet states Omnis cellula e cellula. This translated to:
- 3. All cells arise only from pre-existing cells “
- So there it is. “Free cell formation.”
- ..Clearly this Virchow guy knew something. I change my answer.
- Also, I learned something new about the game!
- “The cell was first discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665 using a microscope.”
- A microscope! Who knew!
- But I guess computers were just really tiny back then. ;)

Message:Yes it is roo! I've been trying for so long to get a streak of 3 in 9x0s, but then I reached it twice in the last day somehow! Not quite at Buzzy's level yet, so will have to wait on that one.
Don't know if you saw it, but that last game I played was probably the longest I've spent on an 8x0 in the last 5 years. Took me ages to see a potential route out, and even then I wasn't sure. Figured I'd spent too long looking at it, so took the plunge, only to change my mind halfway through and somehow found another way!
