Subject: Getting to 100 streak in Lucky 13 twice at same time

Message:Well I proved to myself and my alt id redberet that it can be done. I thought given how hard it is to get to 100 to get two at the same time extremely unlikely. I think I'll go buy a lotto ticket.

Message:Some people get two concurrent 100 streaks in 13x0, others get back-to-back-to-back unwinnables in 11x0 (about 0.5% chance) - shortly after busting a nice streak with another unwinnable (sigh).
Yeah I know it's better to get them now...

Message:Funny you should say that about unwinnables. while working on the trifecta I had a good streak going in the sixties then I got back to back unwinnables and four in the span of 20. one of those I was able to do 10 moves before I found it unwinnable. I don't remember if it was Denny's slap down Saturday or streak buster Sunday.
Go Niners!

Message:Oded, I know you must keep free@last's stats around somewhere for easy reference (that'd be a great thing for Denny to have a link to), but are you sure that 0.5% chance is accurate for getting 2 consecutive unwinnable 11x0s? That would imply a winnable percentage of ~~93%, if my quick math is correct. We know it's above what actually happens, but that 0.5% seems extremely low. I kinda think you may be right, but just want a check. Thanks.

Message:TN, I got 3 in a row, not 2.
11x0 level 5 winnable percentage is 81.92%.

Message:Ah, I see. I didn't read carefully enough. Thanks. At least my surprise was warranted, even if the basis of it wasn't.

Message:Now 3 of the last 4, and 5 of the last 11. The odds of both are significantly lower than getting 10 winnables in a row.
The recent one was hilarious in a way, with 10 cards flying home right off the bat:

Message:I see you're just getting started on 11x0s, relatively-speaking. For a LONG time that was my favorite variant. Yes, the "decision tree" is usually short, but there's something about them that kept drawing me in. And such maddening-esque games and statistically-improbable draws. I've had quite a few 11x0 games with two columns cleared but still lost them, for example. 13x0s are certainly far too easy (in general), but that 11x0 - 12x0 nexus is a sweet spot for me.

With a bit more free time on my hands, decided to get back gradually to Joey's challenges :-)

Message:Are Zany Zeros deadly? Those are the ones I'll (probably) try first where my unconcern for speed may be less of a hindrance.

Message:redberet - there's your thread when you made it with "only" two users...
The odds seem to be quite low to do it just once, let alone thrice at the same time.

Message:The hard part is getting in that 14 day span. Why flank them when vertical insertion works best. It's all in the timing of the surge. Three is my limit since I can't add no more id's to my email.
